Values: The Consumer Advisory Board of
the North Central District AIDS Coalition (NCDAC) is established in the
belief that the opinions, experiences, knowledge, and perspective of the
individuals directly infected with HIV/AIDS are essential to the development
of a comprehensive community response to issues raised by HIV/AIDS. |
| Mission:
It
is the mission of the North Central District AIDS Coalition (NCDAC) Consumer
Advisory Board to provide a mechanism for people with HIV to have meaningful
input into the development and priorities of programs, policies and service
delivery systems that focus on the needs of the HIV infected community.
The Consumer Advisory Board will also try to encourage other people with
HIV in their areas to express their ideas and have their opinions heard. |
| With the purpose of fulfilling this mission,
the North Central District AIDS Coalition (NCDAC) Consumer Advisory Board
shall have the following goals: |

To provide Consumer input to the development, priorities
and implementation of policies and programs, at all levels within the North
Central District AIDS Coalition.

To act as a liaison between the HIV infected community
and the Providers of HIV/AIDS services.

To educate and bring together people with HIV/AIDS
through a variety of activities that support and encourage the activism
and optimism of the Consumer.
